While the world watches, Carlsbad California is putting $3,000,000,000 into a water desalination project. This project promises water for two families of 4 for a year for $2,000. Total output will be about 7% of the area’s requirement. If this works out, the water supply scenario for California will be substantially changed.
JFK had a vision of water desalination that never materialized. It will be interesting to see what will happen here.
